Daniel (14), a teenager fully aware of life and death, is diagnosed with severe heart failure. Although many physicians believe that transplantation is the only solution, Dr. Grosman (72) believes that prior intervention can be attempted. But the operation fails and Daniel enters directly on the national emergency list. Grosman knows that the emergence of a compatible heart is almost impossible. However, the donor shows up and, against his parents’ advice and hospital protocols, Daniel insists that Dr. Grosman pursue his case and perform the heart transplant.
